New changes to Chess Club! Special Announcement!
- Our new start time is 7:30 AM (previously 7:15).
- We are now running sessions rather than the full school year.
What kind of Chess Club are we?
Our Club falls into the “recreational play” category. We provide an opportunity for kids to come together and play chess in a fun, supportive environment.
At our sessions, we don’t offer formal chess instruction. Instead, coaches circulate around the room to give guidance, answer questions, and offer tips when needed. Most of the learning comes from the kids playing the game with each other.
Students may attend Chess Club at any time throughout the year, no signup is required. All communication and session dates can be found on our Facebook page: SFA Chess Club.
A few reminders:
- Parents are always welcome, and no chess experience is necessary.
- Drop-off is at the south church entrance by the small pond. Turn right to enter the preschool hallway, Chess Club meets in the Serra Room.
