Part Time Elementary Music Teacher (K-5)

St. Francis of Assisi School is seeking a part-time Elementary Music Teacher to assist our full-time music instructor in delivering dynamic and engaging lessons. Responsibilities include helping with lesson preparation, classroom management, and providing individual or small group instruction. The ideal candidate must have a BA in music, have or able to attain a valid Iowa teaching liscense, and will inspire a love of music in students and contribute to a positive, creative learning environment.

Middle School Science Teacher

St. Francis of Assisi School is seeking a full-time Middle School Science Teacher to deliver engaging, inquiry-based instruction aligned with state and national standards. Responsibilities include planning and executing hands-on lessons, facilitating laboratory experiments that support the scientific method, data collection, and analysis, and integrating technology such as virtual simulations, digital data loggers, and interactive software into daily instruction. The teacher will establish and maintain a safe, organized laboratory environment, promote a culture of respect, collaboration, and productive struggle, and manage student behavior using proactive, age-appropriate strategies.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) or Secondary Education and possess a valid State of Iowa teaching license with an endorsement in Middle School Science (4–8 or 6–12).
