Chess Club Christmas Tournament

Hello, chess families! Your kids will soon be chattering about our upcoming Christmas Tournament! 
Last year we had ongoing, never-ending requests for a tournament   However, with doubling our size and being new coaches, we were not equipped to manage one. 
Well it’s 2023-24 and we are still not equipped! 
Solution, we’re bringing in a professional Coach Jim has graciously agreed to run a tournament for us. He is well able to manage a club of our size and has run scholastic tournaments for years. Hooray for Jim!
The tournament will stretch over two days, December 8th and 15th. It will be during our normal meeting time from 7:15-8:05am. All students who attend, will participate in the tournament. There will be prizes for each grade level and no one will walk away empty handed. 
This is a great learning opportunity for our chess kids to get the feel of a real tournament. 
All students are being asked to “pre-register”. Coach Jim needs a roster beforehand to input into his program. He will create all the pairs and will adjust for students who are not able to make both days.
