We had another great week at SFA.  The track-a-thon was a huge success.  Thank you to all who donated! The students and staff had a great time! HAVE A FUN & SAFE WEEKEND!!

~7th/8th Grade dance: Next Friday October 11th, at St. Augustin at 7pm.  $7- please bring your school ID. Popcorn and snacks will be available for purchase.  Disco theme… disco attire is encouraged, but dress code appropriate! 

~Spirit Wear: Tuesday, Oct. 8… spirit wear top with dress code bottoms

~Transportation Reimbursement Form: Don’t forget to fill out the Transportation Reimbursement Form and mail it to your home school district. Click here to find the address of your district. Forms are due on December 1st.

~Panama Trip Info Mtg: Tuesday Oct 8th @ 6:30pm in Mrs. Buckmiller’s classroom. This is for parents of interested 6th and 7th graders.  Trip will be June 2021

~Chess Club: Friday Oct. 11 @ 7:15am in the Serra Room

Grab the family and attend FrancisFest on Sunday, October 6. We have something for EVERYONE!
Festivities start at 1:30 with the blessing of pets . Bring any kind of animal, as long as it can co-exist with other guests, to the south circle drive for a blessing by Fr. Ray and Fr. Mark.
At 4:00, join us at the school for inflatables and games for all ages including bingo, cake walk, duck pond, leaping lizards, connect 4 basketball and much more! We will also have concessions for sale including the Boy Scouts BBQ and Sweet Swirls rolled ice cream truck. New this year is McHenry Pub where guests can enjoy a free beverage, play a game of darts, bags, etc and enjoy fellowship with friends old and new!  At 5:00, adults can go head to head with fellow parishioners in the crazy whack-a-cone game and win fun prizes such as wine, beer or fun SFA merchandise. Admission is free and so is the Fun! So grab your friends and join us on Oct 6 at 4 p.m. Entrance is at the school’s north and south main doors. Youth Event
After 11:15 a.m. Mass on Sunday, October 13th:

All Youth in Grades 6-12 are welcome for pizza, games, live music and a fun afternoon with our speaker, Dan.

Evening schedule for October 13-15th
5:30-6:30 p.m.: Meal and fellowship in the Parish Hall
Desserts will be available for purchase each night with proceeds helping fund Enviroloos in South Africa!
6:45 p.m.: Live music in the Sanctuary by First Encounter
Childcare available starting at this time. Make sure to register for childcare by going to the Nursery page on the parish website.
7 p.m.: The Mission will begin in the Sanctuary
Did you know that the Parish Mission offers free childcare for all 3 nights?

Childcare is available for children from infant-5th grade. We will have the Nursery available for babies and toddlers, preschoolers will be in our fun, new Wrap Around Care Room, and the gym/cafeteria will be reserved for all elementary-aged children. Kids will love hanging out enjoying crafts, board games and various activities.

~DCHS Soccer: We had a great turnout overall with many from St. Francis.  Based on the positive feedback, we are hosting one on October 14.  Attached is the flyer with details (and some Halloween fun!) for the October 14 clinic

~Mark your calendars: St Francis church will be hosting a Trunk or Treat on Sunday, Nov 3. Plan ahead to include this fun, family friendly event in your fall festivities. Children can join us in the northeast parking lot at 3:30 p.m. in non-scary costumes for trick-or-treating between creatively decorated trunks!
