Festive Dress Up Week – The Student Ambassadors are putting on a Festive Dress Up Week December 14th – 18th AND a Festive Sweater Day on the 22nd.  Click here for more information.

SchoolMessenger – We have been testing a new communication system called “SchoolMessenger” and are ready to roll it out for wider use.  This system is synced with PowerSchool and will be utilized for all grades Preschool-8th as well as Kids Care.  All families are able to update their information in the parent portal for PowerSchool or by letting us know by calling the school office.  At this time we plan on using it for emergencies such as weather related events and weekly general communications.  This system allows you to receive a text message in emergencies if you so choose.  Click here for more information on the SMS (text) option for SchoolMessenger.

Yearbooks -Use this link to order your child’s yearbook. 2020-2021 yearbooks are now available to order! Please consider sharing candid photos of our students taken at school sponsored events for publication in the yearbook. Send photos to yearbook@saintfrancisschool.org

Dressing for colder weather – All students are expected to dress appropriately for winter weather. Students will be outside unless the temperature is zero degrees or below including wind chill. During the winter months, encourage students to wear mittens, hats, heavy coats and boots. For the health of each student, boots/overshoes are expected in wet and snowy weather. Students should bring an extra pair of shoes to wear inside when they wear boots.  Please put your child’s name on their clothing.

Leap into Literacy – A virtual program for parents, click here for more information.

Christmas Gift – With the Christmas season upon us, we continue the tradition of collecting monetary donations for gifts to our teachers, staff and priests. Donations collected are divided among all the staff, as a thank you for their commitment and service to our students.  This is an optional and voluntary contribution that is organized by Home & School, and can be given in lieu of individual gifts.  There is no set dollar amount required and any donation would be greatly appreciated.

If you wish to contribute, money will be collected now through Friday, December 11

You may contribute via VENMO @StFrancisofAssisiHomeandSchool or deliver your CASH gift to the school office.  All Venmo transactions will be marked private of donor and amount. Checks will not be accepted this year.

Thank you for your kind generosity; the St. Francis Staff is deeply grateful!

Thank you and Merry Christmas,

Home & School
