The SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE is a compulsory committee comprised of students, parents, teachers, administrators, and representatives from the local community. To the extent possible, committee membership shall have balanced representation with regard to race, gender, national origin, and disability. Mission statement:  SIAC is committed to promoting a culture of excellence at St. Francis by making informed recommendations to the St. Francis Board of Education with regard to curriculum, technology, and environment. Recommendations from SIAC are used, but not limited, to promote:
  1. Faith-infused education and character development
  2. High standards of student achievement
  3. Annual and long-range improvement goals including the state indicators that address reading, mathematics, and science
  4. An enriching environment that nurtures active learning, student accountability, and teacher development
  5. Technology recommendations
  6. Harassment or bullying prevention initiatives
  7. Improved communication between staff, parents, students, and the community
