2019/20 Uniform and Spirit Wear Order Deadline is July 1st! Orders will be available for pick up on August 1st at Image Solutions or will be delivered to SFA on School Supply Drop off. Uniform orders can placed throughout the school year with a 3-4 week turnaround time. MIDDLE SCHOOL PARENTS: P.E.Orders must be placed by the July 1st deadline. Only a very limited inventory is available after that date. To ensure your child has the correct size, plus a size to grow into, please order by the deadline.
New Spirit Wear is now available online! Proceeds benefit SFA Home & School. A second spirit wear order will be placed by September 15, with delivery in mid-October.
Sizing samples are available at the showroom. Please email prior to visiting and we’ll make sure someone is here to help.

Medication: If your child has medication that they have kept in the school office, it will be sent home in their backpack on the last day of school. Please check their backpack for these medications and then return any needed medications (with a medication authorization form) in August when school starts again. Thank you! Seniors Come Home Mass: Please join us on Wednesday, May 22 at 8:45 as we celebrate all high school seniors who graduated from St. Francis School.
DCHS Varsity Boys Baseball Pack the Park: June 10th at 5p. Come cheer on the team as they play a double header against Johnston. Arrive early to get a seat in the bleachers between home plate and first base, or bring a lawn chair and sit behind the outfield fence. Come out and show your support for the Maroons – it will be a great night!
Lunch auto debit: The final auto debit of the school year is scheduled for June 7th. The amount debited on June 7th will be the amount owed in your lunch account on the last day of school. If there is a credit in your account it will carry over to next year.
2019-2020 School Supply Order is now available (School Id STF024). Be sure to order supplies for the grade your student will be 2019-2020 school year. An email confirmation will be sent with every order as a receipt. Please be aware that if you did not receive an email confirmation, your order was not placed. Boxes will be available for pick up on August 22nd (teacher/supply drop off day). The ordering deadline is June 7th. No extra orders are placed. 8th Grade Graduation Dance: Saturday, May 18 from 7p-9p at St. Theresa’s
ICubs School Fundraiser: Sunday, May 19th. The Iowa Cubs would like to invite the Saint Francis community for a fun filled day at the field as they take on the New Orleans Babycakes at 1:08p! This outing will be a fun opportunity to gather together and enjoy America’s favorite past time as we wrap up our school year. Please join us in a reserved section of seats for a day of family, friends, and baseball! Proceeds from our ticket sales will go back to the school! Click on the link above for tickets.

JA BizTown Summer Camp for Students going into 5th-7th Grade: JA BizTown Summer Camp is an academic camp designed to enhance the camper’s financial literacy skills while infusing entrepreneurship, work and career readiness, team work, marketing, philanthropy and public speaking. FAITH & OUTREACH
St. Francis of Assisi Vacation Bible School: June 24th-28th, 9a-Noon, for children entering grades pre-K-6th grade this fall. Registrations received by June 7th will include a VBS t-shirt for each participant and a music cd per family. Registrations will be accepted after June 7th, but a t-shirt and music cd will not be included. Please email or call the Faith Formation Office at 515-440-1030 with any questions.
St. Francis Nursery Ministry Orientation: Sunday, May 19 from 6p-6:30p (following the Youth Mass) in Room 2 next to the nursery. Service opportunities are available throughout the summer during the 9:30 and 11:15 Masses as well special events. Duties include playing with children, assisting nursery staff and cleaning toys at the end of a shift. Volunteers must be in 6th grade or older. If interested in attending, please sign up here. The Connection Café is a free lunch program that serves the homeless and low income community downtown.
- On the 3rd Wednesday of each month, a group from St. Francis of Assisi Church, serves a warm meal and brings supplies to the Connection Café.
- Each month, an email is sent out requesting help. Students can receive service hours by baking cookies, making the main dish, bagging trail mix, or laundry detergent.

Donate unused hotel toiletries (mini shampoos, soap, lotion, toothpaste, etc.) to either of the GREEN bins outside the school office or in the Gathering Space by the Church.
